Birmingham’s Open is back! Following the success of 2024’s inaugural Birmingham Creates: The Open, Colmore Business District in partnership with Central BID are once again holding an open call competition for the city’s emerging visual artists.

About the event
I’m so excited that my artwork, Elephant in Time has been selected for the Birmingham Open 25 exhibition.
The exhibition, which has the theme of LIGHT will be live at Snow Hill Square and Victoria Square in Birmingham city-centre from 20 May until the end of June. Please come and see it!
Isn't the texture of an elephant's skin fascinating? The way light plays on it is incredible! The folds and creases create natural patterns of shadow and highlight, emphasizing the depth and structure of the surface. What's your favorite detail about elephants?
